Frequently Asked Questions

WHISK is a hospitality-driven experiential marketing agency working between Biarritz and San Francisco. We design and produce brand experiences — launches, activations, offsites, retreats, and dinners — where hospitality is the medium rather than the decoration. Past work includes Airbnb, Levi Strauss, IDEO, Twitch, Index Ventures, Fritz Hansen, noma, and First Round Capital.
-
Product launches and brand activations, executive offsites and team retreats, press and partner dinners, conference-adjacent hospitality (including F1 weekends), and multi-day programs on the French Basque coast. We handle concept, creative direction, venue and vendor sourcing, culinary programming, and on-site production.
-
Primarily the French Basque coast and the wider Nouvelle-Aquitaine region, plus the San Francisco Bay Area. We also produce events elsewhere in Europe and the US for existing clients.
-
Project budgets typically start around €7500 for a single activation or dinner, with multi-day programs and retreats scaling from there. We scope after a short discovery call.
-
Eight to twelve weeks is comfortable for a standard activation; peak season on the Basque coast (June–September) and event-anchored weekends like the F1 calendar should be locked three to six months out.
-
WHISK has led brand, launch, and hospitality design work across a range of concepts — including Kismet Comptoir (an épicerie fine and curated food shop), Mili Wine Bar (hospitality design, owner representation, launch, and PR), Baana (experience design, concept, launch strategy, and PR), and Frances (experience design, partnerships, PR, and brand strategy). WHISK has also produced curated dinners and pop-ups like the Secret Breakfast Society and Made In, plus brand launch and PR work for brands like Aplat, Open Standard, and Nisei.
